Don Greenwood & Associates, Inc. was founded in June of 2003. Based in Houston, Texas, and operating globally, the company provides security planning, risk assessment, and asset protection consulting services for clients in diverse industries. We help our clients develop cost effective, practical security solutions to mitigate risk. Our company is independent of any product or supplier, solely dedicated to our client’s best interest.
Donald E. Greenwood, PresidentDonald E. Greenwood has over twenty-seven years of consulting and corporate security experience, including senior security management positions at Apple Computer, Compaq/HP, and Sun Microsystems. Don serves on the American Society for Industrial Security's Information Asset Protection Council, and was chairman in 2001. He published Business and Technology Protection, a well-regarded newsletter, from 1992 to 1996, and authored the chapter on Trade Secrets in the Encyclopedia of Security Management. Additionally, he co-founded the Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA), now an international organization with hundreds of technology and logistics member companies.
Don has been an industry leader and innovator in global corporate security and safety operations. He has conducted risk assessments and managed security projects in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Holland, Australia, and Puerto Rico. He is a highly sought after consultant, trainer, and speaker.
Donald T. Greenwood, Senior Consultant, Director of Compliance ProgramsDonald T. Greenwood spent twelve years at Compaq/HP in Houston, Texas, in manufacturing; inventory control and protection; information technology, software implementation; and advanced product engineering. At HP Don served as the manufacturing liaison with security and investigations. He developed innovative inventory control processes to protect the company’s vast store of computer chips, circuit boards, and finished goods. Don was part of the security/manufacturing team that reduced losses from component theft from $600,000 per year to less than $20,000. He has a Bachelor's of Business Administration, Management of Information Systems, from the University of Houston. He is a certified CCTV Systems Designer and holds certificates in CCTV Products and Technology. Don is the firm’s project manager for most client federal compliance activity. He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
Joshua T. Nobles, Staff ConsultantJoshua T. Nobles has nine years successful experience in security and protection. He served in the United States Marine Corps for five years as the Chief Instructor, Weapons and Firearms Training for Cherry Point Air Base, North Carolina. There he trained, developed, and motivated over 18,000 Marines in the use of weapons systems for combat readiness. Subsequently, he served as an Independent Security Contractor with Blackwater USA, providing security services for governmental organizations in Central Asia. Joshua is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University. He is a licensed private pilot, a certified Personal Protection Specialist, and an Israeli Anti-Terrorism Instructor. He holds a SECRET security clearance. He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
Karen S. Greenwood, Vice President of Finance and Administration, Specification and Document Control ManagerKaren brings years of experiences as office manager for a large medical practice, administrative support for an investment company, and managing engineering document control and the ECN process for the manufacturer of the space shuttle’s booster rockets and the rocket motors for many missile systems. Karen manages our company’s books and finances; billing and payables; and the interface with client’s accounting departments. She also manages document and specification control for large projects where good document management is essential for uniform revision and updating. This is especially important in our Maritime Transportation Security Act projects and other government regulated activities.
